The history of Renon’s narrow-gauge railway dates back to 1907, when it led for the first time to the Renon High Plateau. It was the time of the Belle Epoque, guests reached the Renon High Plateau, located 1,000 m higher than South Tyrol's main town,by means of a cog railway. Today, a cable car connects the provincial capital with Oberbozen. From there, the journey continues with the Rittner Bahn and its historic railcars. A must not only for railway fans. In the video, we first take viewers through the pioneering history of the railway and bring them up to date on the present. In doing so, we put the accent on the technical achievements and at the same time convey the feeling of adventure in everyday life.
