People who move go places.

Pastor Sebastian Kneipp championed this principle over 150 years ago (1821–1897). We embrace this motto on the Kneipp Trail on the Ritten and invite you to experience Kneipp's teachings at five stations, focusing on his five pillars: Order of Life, Movement, Herbs, Water, and Nutrition.

The task

Although Kneipp is a perfect fit for today's health trend, communication about it often seems a little ‘out of date’. Our goal was to change this to appeal to an audience that may not yet have any connection to his philosophy.

The solution

And we succeeded – with a style that not only aligns with the gentle corporate design of the Ritten but also presents Kneipp’s teachings in a visually coherent and appealing way. Drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings of forests, meadows, and water, we developed a harmonious pastel colour palette. Each of the five pillars is represented by its distinct colour, unified by a soft light green background. The watercolour technique further strengthens the connection to the central pillar of Kneipp’s philosophy – water.

For the illustrations, we drew on botanical imagery, similar to that found in plant books. This both conveys the seriousness of Pastor Kneipp’s teachings and allows us to mentally dive into the historical context. The balance between tradition and modernity runs throughout the entire concept, giving it a unique charm.

The visual elements are complemented by an approachable and friendly tone of voice, which never comes across as preachy, but rather with a twinkle in the eye. Small tips and instructions for applying the teachings on-site or at home encourage a lighthearted engagement with Kneipp's philosophy.
